Description
Casa Loma's sixth annual Renaissance Festival takes you back to Medieval times. All day long there are warhorses to visit in the stables, a Viking encampment with dueling warriors, impromptu skirmishes and strolling mistrels on the grounds.
The knights of the Barrie Swordplay Association put on a show at 10:30 am, 1 pm and 3 pm on the weekend. The Knights are set to engage each other in hand to hand combat. There is an extra charge for this show: $1 per person in addition to Casa Loma admission.
Geek Magician extraordinaire shows off his talents at 11am, 12:30pm and 4pm. The carnival sideshow features ballon swallowing, fire eating and other feats.
Visitors can also check out the dancing gypsies, archery lessons, and Sir Charles of Linton and his hawks. Lucky guests may even get the opportunity to be knighted during the festivites.
Where: Casa Loma
Cost: Adults $18; Seniors and Youth $12.50; Children under 13 $10.50
