TORONTO, April 13, 2010

RBC Royal Bank announced today that it is changing its residential mortgage rates effective April 14, 2010. There is a 0.25% increase across all mortgage terms.

The changes are as follows:

Fixed Rate Mortgages

Six-month convertible  4.90 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
One-year closed  3.65 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Two-year closed  4.00 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Three-year closed  4.60 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Four-year closed  5.59 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Five-year closed  6.10 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Seven-year closed  6.90 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Ten-year closed  7.05 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)

Special Fixed Rate Offers*

Four-year closed  4.44 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
Five-year closed  4.70 per cent (increased by 0.25 per cent)
